How it all began

It wasn’t some big *“I picked up a camera at five years old and just knew”* moment. Actually, I think photography found me before I ever realized I was looking for it.

I’ve always been the person who notices things. The way light comes through a window. The way someone looks at the person they love when nobody is paying attention. Old photographs tucked into drawers. Places that make you want to remember exactly what the air felt like that day. Eventually, I picked up a camera and started trying to keep those things, and somewhere between learning my camera, photographing people I loved, taking chances on myself, and praying a whole lot of *“Okay God, where are You taking me with this?”*... this little business became something much bigger than a job.

It became a calling.

Now I get to travel to places I used to only dream about, meet people I probably never would have crossed paths with, and hand them photographs that will eventually become their old photographs tucked away in a drawer, and I think that’s pretty dang cool.

My promise to you

I promise I’ll never treat your story like a checklist.

I’ll learn the names, notice the people who matter, watch for the little things happening when everyone else is looking somewhere else, and give you permission to actually live your day instead of performing it for my camera. I’ll tell you when the light is too good to ignore, when your hair needs fixing, and when you should forget I’m even there. I’ll pray over the work I create and the people God puts in front of my lens. I’ll show up with intention, love you well, and document your story with the weight it deserves, because someday these photographs won’t just be pretty pictures.

They’ll be proof that you were here, you loved deeply, and this really happened.

More than a career. It’s my calling.

Photography has become so much more than something I do. It’s a calling Jesus placed on my heart, and somewhere along the way, I realized He was using it to change me, too. This calling found me in seasons when I felt lost and unsure of what my purpose was. Jesus gave me something to create, people to love and serve, stories to tell, and a reason to see the beauty in the little things again.

In so many ways, this calling saved me. But I know it was Jesus who used it to do the saving.

Now, every time I pick up my camera, I’m reminded that this was never just about taking pretty pictures. It’s about documenting what He created. The love between two people. The mountains He formed. The tiny hands your babies will outgrow. The wind, the laughter, the tears, the messy and beautiful parts of being alive. I want my work to point back to Him. I want to create photographs that remind you how deeply you’ve been blessed, how beautiful your story already is, and how much of God’s goodness can be found in the moments we so easily pass by.

This is more than my career.

It’s my purpose. It’s my calling.

And it’s all for His glory.
